I started by building websites. The work got more useful when I stopped treating the website as the whole product.
A site can look good and still leave the owner copying form details into notes, answering the same question ten times, or wondering which lead ever got a reply. That gap is where most of my work is now.
I work directly with owners. I start by watching how a lead arrives, who answers it and where the details go, and I fix the part that costs the most time first. I keep the build small enough that people actually use it, and I stay until the team runs it without me. If the problem needs a specialist outside my lane, I say that early.
